Caring

Web Designer

  • As Caring’s sole designer, I led, facilitated, managed, and produced the company’s design initiatives across eight brands in collaboration with our B2B/B2C Marketing, Business Development, Content/SEO, Engineering/Development, Partner Sales & Success, and Product teams.
  • Oversaw the work of design freelancers for quality control and brand management.
  • Revamped visual design and enhanced UI/UX of Caring’s primary email flow to drive increased partner engagement in following up with prospective families during the touring phase.
  • Further refined and extended Caring’s flagship brand through the use of color, typography, supporting graphics, and establishing some soft brand guidelines based on team and user needs.
  • Collaborated across the company to facilitate, develop, and produce two brand and website refreshes. I led the process from scoping the project to the brand strategy, to reworking the respective website’s information architecture to be more user-friendly, to actually designing the brands/websites, to prototyping, then launch.
  • Independently studied and took classes on UX Design Systems outside of work so that I could lead, facilitate, and develop Caring’s first four systems.
  • Was a persistent advocate for our users and pushed the team to consider web accessibility (WCAG 2) to better serve our Boomer and GenX users.
  • Gathered and presented competitive and audience research to guide and encourage strategic decision-making from stakeholders in the project.
